This is the sign up for my (Elya's) email newsletter, "Postcards from Japan", about the missionary journey God has been taking me on. God has currently called me to Japan to work with TEAM at SonRise Cafe in Tokyo. There I will be coming alongside the cafe staff to assist with baking, daily cafe operations, and one-on-one English conversation opportunities with Japanese. Through it all I hope to make long lasting friendships and share the love of Christ and how He has changed my life. I am currently in the process of raising partners who will be with me on this journey. My hope is to leave for Japan in February of 2020.
It is my hope that this newsletter will help you, the reader, get to know the Japanese people and culture better, see the victories and struggles of your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and be able to pray for Japan as a whole.
